Durations Reporting

The Durations report shows how long your completed projects actually took, from kickoff to completion. Use it to quote timelines with real data instead of guesses, find where projects slow down, and compare templates and project owners side by side.

Durations is available on Standard and Premium plans. There's nothing to set up. Just go to Reporting → Durations.

Durations: See How Long Your Projects Really Take

The Durations report covers projects completed in the last year. You can filter it by template, project owner, and time range (last 1, 3, 6, or 12 months).

Headline numbers: Your average project duration, your fastest and longest projects, and your on-time rate, which is the percentage of projects that finished on or before their target end date.

Duration trend: A month-by-month chart of average project length, plus charts comparing average duration by template and by project owner.

Stages: For each template, the average time projects spend in each stage. This is where bottlenecks show up, like a stage that's consistently waiting on client content.

Project list: Every completed project with its template, owner, start date, and total duration, plus a bar showing how much time it spent in each stage. Projects that finished after their target end date are marked with a Delayed tag.

Ways to Use Durations

  • Set accurate expectations with prospects. Quote timelines based on how long similar projects have actually taken.
  • Find bottlenecks. Spot the stages where projects consistently stall, then adjust your process or template.
  • Compare templates. See which workflows move fastest.
  • Balance workloads. Compare durations across project owners to spot who might be stretched thin.
